One area my students struggle the most with is listening and speaking. I'm requesting 2 iPad mini's, so that I can set up a listening station. At this station, students will be able to listen to stories or practice listening to audio conversations to boost their listening and speaking confidence. With the iPad, I will be able to record read aloud's onto the device and students can sit anywhere and listen to them. They will be able to build reading fluency, comprehension, and improve in their speaking and listening skills. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student reading ability, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. We can use these iPad's across the entire curriculm for the workshop model we follow. They will easily be used in reading centers, math centers, and for research.
