This headphone set will benefit all the students in my class during our literacy center time. They will be able to listen to a story and follow along with the book. A listening center strengthens listening comprehension skills, collaborative skills, fluency and expression. Kindergartners LOVE to learn through songs so I will be able to have students listen to songs that teach skills they specifically need. This will also help my students improve comprehension by thinking deeper about texts they hear and completing reading responses. I can differentiate these responses based on their levels even though they are listening to the same story. Listening to stories makes them come alive in a new way even if it's a story they already know.
