My students struggle to apply their learning and thinking in creative and "out of the box" ways. My students make unbelievable gains throughout the school year, but are limited to how they can apply that learning outside of school. The practice that they get with critical thinking is limited. Often we don't get to teach students how to think critically. We are forced to "teach to the test", as our students often miss long periods of school at a time and will not be able to make up work at home. There is no room for anything besides the content and format they are being tested on. My students need 3 Osmos to help them be creative and see math, shapes, and words in a different, more fun and interactive way. This project will help my students learn to think critically and foster a sense of community in my classroom as the students work together on each task. My students will learn to work with each other and solve problems that they normally do not see in our curriculum. I cannot wait to watch my students' problem solving skills grow!
