DPHS is a Title I Turnaround school that has not held onto an AP Statistics teacher for longer than 2 years in the past twenty. I'm here to change that, but I'm starting from scratch. Luckily, scratch is an exciting place to be, as we are ready to decide on a new textbook for the course! You can help empower highly motivated AP students through the systematic challenges of urban education by donating one textbook to our class. This textbook will be used regularly regardless if we decide against it. Some teachers across the district highly recommend this text for AP Statistics, however, resources are limited as many schools in the district fail to offer the course due to lack of demand. For example, my class of 7 are the only AP Stats scholars in a school of 3,000. I anticipate this being the book we choose. Thank you for your consideration, and definitely know that my students and I will be extremely grateful for your donation.
