These books will expose my second language learners to background knowledge they currently lack. I would like them to be able to hold a book and follow along while we read it in small groups rather than have to just glance at the pictures as we move along. I want my students to know there is a great big world out there waiting to be discovered. My students come from homes that have little to no English, and being able to read about schools around the world will open their minds to other nationalities and cultures. I am excited to help them discover they are an important part of this world.

About my class
