At the start of the school year I purchased six plastic rockers for my reading corner. My students adore sitting in these rockers and always beg for more seating options! My kids see these rockers as a privilege and the difference in their performance and focus is evident while they sit in them. I believe adding more alternative seating options such as yoga balls and Hokki Stools, will improve my students attitude toward learning. Students will use these seats during independent, center and whole group work. As a teacher, my goal is to provide the best learning environment for my students. I look forward to seeing the impact that the power of choice and movement will have on my students for years to come!
