Functional, bright, comfortable classroom furniture and flexible seating is essential and necessary to create an effective atmosphere for learning. My current classroom furniture is old, chipping, broken and cracked. The students often get their clothes caught in the furniture and get distracted with the chipping parts of the table. There have been several instances where the tables' legs become unscrewed from so much wear and the table just falls. My students will benefit greatly from new, bright classroom furniture. New furniture would help to brighten the classroom and will also keep them from snagging their clothes on the cracked chairs.
