I teach in a self-contained classroom of six, first and second students in my classroom. I teach my students throughout all areas of the academic day in a public separate school, serving students in grades K-12 who have significant behavioral/emotional disabilities. Students at my school require a highly structured environment with intensive behavioral and therapeutic interventions and strategies. The students follow the North Carolina Standard Course of Study. 81% of the student population is on free or reduced lunch. 85% of the students are minorities and 100% receive special education services.

About my class
