I have the best job in the whole world! I get to sit in a class of nineteen of the brightest children EVER! They are so eager to learn and have come so far. At the beginning of the year most of my students did not know how to write their name, count, or even cut with scissors. Today I have independent readers, awesome writers, and some of the most talented artists I have ever seen. I must sound like a proud father, bragging about his children. And that is what I am PROUD. I see so much potential in everyone of those faces; doctors, lawyers, and even someday great teachers. My students live in one of the most challenging areas of our city and state. Some students only eat the meals that are given to them within the safety of the brick walls that make up our school. It pains me to think of some of the situations that some of my students go home to. I just simply want the world for these kids and believe they deserve every opportunity I can give to them.
