Reading opens a world that allows my students to experience a world that they may not have otherwise had the opportunity. My students need to build their interests and talents to become life long readers and critical thinkers. It all begins with having just right books. These magazines are on my students' independent reading levels.They can just cozy up anywhere in the classroom and read until their hearts desire (well at least until Independent Reading is over). The magazine subscription will allow us to have weekly access to nonfiction periodicals created for kids. I want my boys and girls to have so many book options to choose from, that they will surely be excited to open their books!
