Technological devices are limited at my school (I have 2 computers for 14 students). The Chromebooks will allow students to be able to experience a world-class education that gives them continuous exposure to evidence-based learning opportunities in the classroom. The Chromebooks will help to facilitate and foster learning to meet the diverse needs in the classroom. They will also promote independence for students and provide students access to literacy and math applications, as well as web-based learning programs that increase student engagement and motivation. The color printer will allow the students to publish their work, increase success and promote access to better understanding for those with limited fine motor skills needed for writing. Experiencing educational success on assignments will build self-esteem and motivate students to be more engaged learners. The Chromebooks will allow students to access the technology more often, offer new ways to writing as they build fine motor skills and further their knowledge of additional resources, tools, and strategies available to them. Web-based applications will provide students more independence during exploration, self-correction of their work, and opportunity to practice new skills learned in the classroom. This will greatly increase the goals of setting a solid foundation for my Kindergartners to have exposure to tools and strategies necessary for success throughout their educational journey.
