My students lack experience with technology in their daily lives. By adding a technology center into our classroom they will be able to use a variety of resources that are only offered through the use of technology. Having the Chromebooks in our classroom on a daily basis will assist the students in becoming proficient in the use of technology, which is an ever-growing skill that they will use in all areas of their lives. In addition to Chromebooks, I am asking donations to fund activity tubs for engaging science centers. The goal is to encourage hands-on inquiry-based learning to promote enthusiastic learners. By doing centers to encourage inquiry-based learning, students will learn the value of higher level thinking. Additionally, this project will help my students prepare for the computer-based state tests. This will instill an everlasting love for science.
