Welcome to my classroom! I teach 8th grade English at an urban middle school in Wisconsin. Most of my students come from families with a low socioeconomic status. They are used to doing without at home and at school. They are so excited to get new books. Many of them have never read a brand new book. They take great care of the special things they receive and are very protective of the new materials. So many of them just want to feel special. I go out of my way to make each of them fell that way every day.
