Half of our Pre-K students are on free and reduced lunch programs. Many come from homes with disadvantages that the other Pre-K students don't have. Our teachers strive to give our students many opportunities that they may not have at home to create and grow their inquisitive minds. Using projects like the Design and Build Centers help to create those opportunities in a safe, fun learning environment. Research shows the importance of STREAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) learning in the Early Childhood years. STREAM allows for opportunities to create, collaborate and learn how to solve problems through questioning and experimenting. When young children learn how to cooperate to solve a question or a problem they are gaining life long skills that will continue throughout their growing years.
