All of our students have so much to offer each other. With the addition of a document camera to the classroom, my students will be able to learn and apply appropriate methods of assessing their peers' performances on particular assignments. The ultimate goal is building a math community where students are able to reach out to one another without worrying about whether they are right or wrong. Using this camera, and calculators when needed, I will be able to model how students can assess each other in respectful and helpful ways. Eventually, my goal is to be able to display work from any student on a given day and have the class critique their performance, while also reflecting on their own work.

About my class
