My students currently use easels, pallets, paint, and brushes on paper. For a more realistic experience they should be allowed to once or twice a year to put something on a real canvas. Something that they can later take home and put on the wall, keep forever, and be proud of. I am already displaying their work on paper, but this would take the students art to the next level. My students were very moved by visiting a museum last year. Canvases will allow them to "make a museum" in the school. We could even invite parents and community members to view the students art.
