My students need flexible seating options to increase their learning by allowing for movement while they work at their desks and around the room. I started slowly implementing flexible sea ting in my classroom last year and it was a huge hit with my students! I also immediately noticed an increase in my students' focus. I would like to add to the options I have so more students will have the ability to utilize these items daily. Imagine having to sit in the same hard uncomfortable chair all day long! My students will benefit from items that will allow them to sit around the room and allow for movement while working. Some of the items they will benefit from are: stability balls that they can sit on to allow for movement, floor chairs that can me moved around the room and also recline to be more comfortable when reading as well as lap boards/desks that they can use for writing or to place their Chromebooks on while working.
