Our students consist of a mix of 6-8th graders, ages 12-14 years, and come from various economic and cultural backgrounds. They are all volunteers in a school-based club called The GREEN TEAM. The students share a common interest in greening our school, beautifying our campus, and learning about environmental issues and problems that face the school, community, and the world. Florida is inundated with environmental problems from invasive species and oil spills to over-population and saltwater intrusion. These students are aware of these problems and have become a part of the solution by being officers and members of our GREEN TEAM.

About my class
