My students need sensory tools and equipment to help regulate their body's needs. Maintaining focus to academic work within the regular education classroom is often a struggle and not one that my students can easily control. Our sensory room is new to us and our students this year. It currently offers limited sensory opportunities to students but with your help the elliptical pedals can help my students lose their wiggles while still learning within the classroom! The sand and magic beads will help students with tactile needs regain focus. And a chin-up bar will help my students calm themselves and exert angry energy in a positive way. Your generous donation to this project will not only be helping my students improve in attention and focus but also increase academic skills as students will be able to attend to class more frequently and at greater length! Through these sensory tools my students will be able to feel more successful because their body and mind will be ready for learning!
