For the past 3 years in my classroom I have provided alternative seating choices for my kindergarten students through the use of yoga balls. Through the use of the yoga balls, my class is able to stay focused and engaged in various lessons and complete given tasks. This year I am venturing to utilize more options for wiggly students! While the yoga balls are a great tool for all of my students there is still a need for more choices. I have added rocking chairs, pillows, and floor seats to allow my students more options to work and stay engaged. Wiggle stools, or hooki stools, allow students constant movement while staying seated. The wiggle stools will allow my students another great seating option for them to work at while lessons are being taught and class work is being completed. By providing them with that constant movement that they need and are always seeking they are able to stay focused and engaged while learning new concepts and completing tasks.
