These books, such as The Dandelion Seed, Motion, and Lizards for Lunch, will provide our students with STEM knowledge as well as inspiring them to meet challenges. These books will be available for both students and teachers to check out. I will also use them for read alouds during library time. STEM education is critical to how students learn science. A solid background in the sciences and critical thinking will give our students the fundamentals to compete in the new economic frontier. Our students will work together learning problem solving skills, and develop into creative critical thinkers. Our students are resilient. STEM will give students the tools for success. Our students are excitedly exploring Project Lead the Way modules, but the library has limited books to support building their background knowledge. Project Lead The Way is our portal for our students' STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) Success. The library collection has less than 10% of the recommended 200 books - I chose 39 new books for this project. These books will build the foundation for further acquisitions to contribute to our students' STEM knowledge.
