My students are struggling readers with limited access to technology at home and at school. It is difficult to learn how to read when nobody is reading to you at home. Our school has made many budget cuts and we don't have the funds to provide classes technology for center time on a daily basis. The kindles will allow my students to choose books of their interests. There will be apps to help them learn how to read. Stories can be read to them. This will all be able to be done at Center Time while I am working with another group of students. I want my students to have as much access to reading and technology as possible.
