Students are always more encouraged to read when they have a comfortable place to sit. Our Bud, Not Buddy books have been a class reading activity every year for 5th grade. Our old books have fallen apart because they have been read so much! In order to provide future classes with these books, we need a new class set. We also need new Maniac Magee books for guided reading. Our books are gently used but paperback books are not as durable as they used to be. The last request is a few comfortable seats so that students can read on a cushion rather than the hard tile. They always reach their reading stamina goals when they have a comfy place to recline and not get up stiff after reading for 20 minutes.
