My students are interested in stop-motion design and engineering as it pertains to entertainment. They would like to create their own stop-motion videos, taking the required steps just as professional engineers and film-makers do. The project will enhance creative and critical thinking as well as focus on important research, development and leadership roles in working groups. The collaborative nature of this project is particularly important for the gifted population. Using positive and effective communication skills, goal-setting and respecting different perspectives is not only part of the Florida gifted Frameworks, but essential in creating 21st Century thinkers which is vital for college and career preparation.

About my class
