The materials I am requesting are for Morning Fun STEM Tubs. With these items, my students will be able to explore and work in groups to learn about a variety of scientific and mathematical concepts. Students will also learn how to work cooperatively with partners and groups of students. For example, students will be able to explore with Wooden Building Blocks and MAGNA-Tiles as part of cooperative groups during Morning Fun STEM tubs. Using Crafty Connects and Legos, my students will be able to plan and build different objects while practicing fine motor skills and building simple machines. By having Morning Fun STEM Tubs, the students will have started their day with a cooperative and hands-on learning activity that will inspire them to continue to learn throughout the day. This donation will change my students’ lives for the better because the Morning Fun STEM Tubs will help my students to become more cooperative, kind and thoughtful while working with partners and groups of students. If my students can learn to work cooperatively with partners and groups they are also working on their social and emotional skills. These skills are very important for their educational future. These students need every opportunity to increase their social and emotional learning. Let’s start in Kindergarten!
