We would like to have two Chromebooks to create a computer center. It is my goal to provide technology to my students in the non-threatening atmosphere of our classroom. My children need to feel comfortable working on computers, as they will be taking tests and using them throughout their school years. Computers are an essential part of a child's education! Today, students even as young as five and six years old, are expected to perform many tasks on computers, including testing. I have found that many of my students don't come to school with the skills needed to successfully operate a computer and take exams in this manner. In addition, I would like my students to be able to access websites to reinforce reading, writing, and math lessons, as well as learn how to navigate the keyboard. They will use the Chromebooks to do research on the internet to learn more about science and social studies, too.
