My hardworking students have done a wonderful job using Google Classroom, YouTube, and Kids A-Z to complete their assignments during virtual learning. However, my students would benefit greatly from me having a wide range of picture books to teach various concepts and to read aloud to them on my Chromebook. This project will provide diverse literature in which all people are portrayed as the main character. As educators, we need to provide literature that promotes equality, kindness, love, and a celebration of differences. If you are able to purchase some books for my classroom library then you too will be helping make a difference! Once we return to school, my students will continue to benefit from the vast array of books in my classroom library. They will have the opportunity to listen to me reading rich and diverse literature daily, as well as, read the books themselves during independent reading time. Thank you for considering donating to my classroom library!
