YWLA is a place where young women can go to receive support from their teachers and administrators to begin the right path to attend college. The schools goal is to have 100 percent of the seniors to go to college and receive scholarships and financial support to be able to go to college and potentially be the first in their family to attend. In art class, we learn through a variety of traditional and non traditional art methods. We have started creating value in our name and art work by creating our artists signatures and will transition into cave painting, drawing, clay then and then into painting. I am excited to participate in our Empty Bowl project we use as a community service project and their first opportunity to sell their work. Thank you for your support! I can not wait to send pictures with the finished projects.
