Anatomy and Physiology is a difficult class as the vocabulary can be overwhelming and many body processes you cannot see happening. Models help students more easily visualize the structure and function of body systems. The 3D aspect of the model helps learners conceptualize easier than any picture could. My students spend a lot of time with the models we currently have, and the hands-on aspect allows them to learn the content at a deeper level. The models my classroom currently has include a life size skeleton, a bust showing muscles, and the human eye. More models are necessary in order for my students to master other body systems just as they do the ones we have models for.
