This year, as a first year teacher, I decided to try flexible seating. Flexible seating is where students can work and learn in a spot other than their desks. This helps students stay focused and comfortable, increasing student success. As I have begun to implement flexible seating I have seen huge successes! My students love it! The only problem is that I do not have enough flexible seating options for every student to be in a comfortable, fun spot. By funding our project you would allow us to have more options, so that all of the students would have the same opportunity to have a relaxing place to learn! I am asking for bean bags which allow comfortable working space with clipboards, scoop rockers which allow for movement while working, stability balls which allow for movement to keep busy little bodies on task, and stools for use at a group table so that student can work together. Thank you for considering donating to our classroom and my precious little ones!
