About my class

I would like to provide my students with fun and engaging literacy centers. All of the items that I have chosen will do just that. Each of the items will help students to build and practice important foundational reading skills. The Fishing for Sight Words and The Snap and Build Sight word set are fun ways for students to build sight word fluency. I know that the Pop and Match phonics games and the Phonics Magnetic Word building set will be fun games to play while strengthening phonemic awareness. Phonological awareness is a critical literacy skill which the center games from Lakeshore Learning will helps students strengthen and have fun doing so! I love that the various center games will also promote independent learning as well as problem-solving as students play in center groups. With your donation to this project, you are helping to increase academic achievement in reading as well as improve student engagement! These literacy center games are perfect! They will be used in small groups, as well as center groups all year in my classroom! These phonics and sight word games give students the ability to practice with repetition on a daily/weekly basis to read words quickly. Thus creating the foundation needed to become a fluent reader.
