In today's society, technology helps foster a love of learning. Students are learning through using the many apps that have been created to meet their needs. There are so many apps out there to keep students engaged! Some of the great apps for reading include Epic, which allows them to choose from a variety of titles, Book Creator, which allows them to write their own book or retell the book that they just read, and the website Newsela, which allows students to read current events on their reading level! Some of the great apps for Math include Mathslides, which allows students to play a game against others to test their facts and Explain Everything, which allows students to actually show and explain how they got an answer. Other apps that can be used across all subject areas include ChatterKid, which can be used to tell about an important person or event from history (or from reading!), Trading Cards, which can be used to tell about important People, Places, or Events, and ThingLink, which allows students to use a variety of resources to show their knowledge of any subject area. The possibilities are endless, and we are so excited at the possibility of incorporating iPads in the classroom!
