Welcome! As an English teacher, I attempt to incorporate literature that is meaningful and interesting into each lesson. Coming from a school that is high poverty, sometimes the best cultural experiences can take place in my classroom. Each day I want my students to see something vibrant about the world. Moreover, I want them to see a need for change in their world and endeavor to be the individual who states, "I can!" With quality pieces of literature and engaging projects, learning can certainly be fun and empowering.
