The goal of my project is to provide students with the tools and resources needed to become proficient readers and writers. Reading and writing are necessary for learning in all content areas. Students face new struggles with reading and writing and it is my goal to close the gaps! Whisper phones are an excellent tool for students to use to hear themselves read and independently identify areas in their reading that need improvement. Dry erase boards are an excellent way to facilitate collaborative and interactive learning. It is an effective way to check for understanding during instruction and provides teachers with immediate information regarding children's understanding. And of course, students need books! Having a variety of books to appeal to various students interests is an excellent way to motivate students to read.
