In fifth grade they will be learning about how chemicals change, how Utah's landscape is formed by erosion and uplift, how magnets and electricity work to change our world. Having the two iPads will allow for different students in my classroom to film and edit videos about science and technology. They will use the document camera to video experiments and keep a video journal of their learning. By recording the results of an experiment they will be able to use their hands on learning to teach others. This will also give them an opportunity to learn the technology side of video editing. I can't wait to see the smiles on their faces as they engage in actively creating videos about the science concepts they are learning. They are going to create videos to teach their friends about science.
