I am an Inclusion Teacher at Laurel Elementary. My students' needs range in type and severity but each of them have the potential to be very successful in the general education environment. I support my students by pushing into their Gen Ed classes and occasionally pulling them out to target specific goals. They have academic, social emotional, fine and gross motor goals. A lot of what I do is supporting the Gen Ed teachers and giving them ideas and tools to use to my students be successful in their class. I do have my own large classroom where students can come when they need a break or a quite place to work. We also use the space for small group work and fun lunch bunch activities.
