We do not know what this upcoming school year will be like. I doubt it will be like the previous years I've taught. We will need to teach the students to social distance which will be very challenging even for us as a teacher. It will be very challenging teaching virtual being we will be limited to resources to teach with. I am requesting Language Arts & Math manipulatives to put into individual tubs. Each child would get their own tub for the day filled with either Math or Language Arts learning activities that would be used during center time. My project would be hands on and independent for now. It would allow my students time away from the drilled paper and pencil remote learning. The items in the tubs would rotate daily to provide each child a chance to enrich in a different skilled activity. This time would also allow me to work independently with others while still promoting an environment conductive to learning. We will be doing virtual learning this year with the students rotating days. I would also be able to assign some of the manipulatives to be used for home learning as many families do not have these resources.
