My older students will be asked to write research papers as part of their grade. However, since my students live in a low-income neighborhood and low-income homes, they do not have the technology at home to complete the projects. They will need to complete the research at school. I want to allow them to have the opportunity to be as successful as possible. The Chromebooks will allow my students to do the research they need to do in the safety of school. They will also be able to publish their work by typing it on the computers as well. The younger students that I teach writing to, will also benefit from the use of the Chromebooks. They will be able to play different games that will allow them to harpoon their skills as a writer. They will also be able to publish their work once they have gone through the writing process.
