This project will fund enough art supplies for five kindergarten classrooms. Our kindergarten team strongly believes that a good classroom environment should always include some elements of creativity. Encouraging creativity gives kids a way to express themselves, be innovative, and furthers their engagement with their learning. Many of our students do not necessarily have access to resources outside of school to create art that is meaningful to them and that they can be excited about. This project will fund many temporary art supplies such as paints, feathers, sequins, clay, etc.; as well as many permanent art supplies that will last for years to come such as smocks, drying racks, rubber stamps, etc. As most art supplies are funded out of our own pockets, our hope is that you will consider donating to this project in order to help us foster the creative learning environment that these kids deserve. Creating such an environment will transform the educational experiences of our kindergarteners into a memorable one where they have several opportunities to be hands-on, develop necessary social/emotional skills as they collaborate with peers, have fun, and CREATE! After all, creativity is intelligence having fun!
