Being able to provide my students with flexible seating options will allow them to choose a station where they feel comfortable working. In all classrooms are standard tables and chairs, and students sit all day. Having a colorful room will not only make them look forward to coming to class, they will be able to work with open and flexible minds. Having new seating options will be an upgrade from our wobbly tables and traditional chairs to a 21st century friendly learning environment. Our current tables are different heights, are missing screws and there are times where the students take it upon themselves to stabilize them with paper under the legs. I know the students will greatly benefit from an upgraded classroom with new stools, floor cushions, and lap desks and be enthusiastic to come in to class and learn.
