In my 10 years of teaching at this school the music program has come a long way! I first started with one drum, tambourine, guiro and some egg shakers. Since then I have added various percussion instruments and also have made instruments for my classroom. The one instrument the students LOVE are drums but one medium/large sized drum is over the cost of my budget for the year so I've never been able to purchase them. A few years ago I was able to get a set of buckets to use for drumming and also seats which helps but it's not the same and hurts the kids hands. At this moment, I have 2-3 usable hand drums in my classroom that 20-30 kids per class need to share if I do a drumming unit. Please consider donating to my classroom to help give my students access to these wonderful instruments. These drums would help my lessons go smoother, save time and also expand what I am able to do with my kids. I want them to have the same opportunities as kids in other schools. They would be SO HAPPY if I was able to add these to our classroom.
