Having a set of iPads will allow students a technology center in the classroom. In the technology center during literacy, students work on phonemes, phonics, reading and writing using the help of the iPad. Students find their name on the screen and a menu of items appears tailored to their needs. Students make choices based on that menu. The iPad is used with the apple TV to bring learning to the big screen. I use student work as good examples for writing, math thinking, art, etc. Students love to see their work on the big screen. Students use the iPad to support STEM learning. We research as a class building a tower using material such as tape and straws. We discuss and break into groups. Student synergize to construct the tallest tower.
