I have worked at a school before where I was able to have a smart board mounted in my classroom. Without a doubt, this technology made student engagement and interaction far better than a situation like I am in now where I have a single projector and a lone white board. Using the smart apps on my computer, I could create interactive games for my kids to use as assessments and reviews such as: fill in the blank games, definition matching, win-lose-or-draw vocabulary, tic-tac-toe review, Family Feud, and a multitude of other games we could play while using the functionality a smart board offers. Having the Apple TV allows me to use the quality education tools and applications that can be found in the Apple Store such as Slide Shark (which allows for interactive Power Point presentations), Team Shake (a group making app), Google Earth, and others. Having the ability to project articles or news stories directly from my ipad to my projector is invaluable. Then having the Smart Board we can start to manipulate these apps interactively.
