My students will use these iPads to deepen their foundational skills in the area of mathematics. They will explore engaging yet educational math apps that improve their skills; such as counting, one to one correspondence, addition, and subtraction all while broadening their knowledge in technology. We will use the large reading easel to display our magnetic ten frames, magnetic numbers, to practice our letter formations and to display subitizing cards to deepen their conceptual understanding of how numbers work. Technology is the key to the future for our students. As teachers, we are preparing them for careers and jobs that do not even exist yet. Many of the children in my class do not have access to technology or Wi-Fi at home and it is crucial to their future to have these learning experiences.
