I have some wonderful children’s literature that I like to read to my kids to inspire them to be creative. After reading several books to my students, they will then decide what they would like to paint and the style they would like to use. We rarely get to paint because our budget isn’t enough to cover the materials that we need. One book that my kid love is “Why Is Blue Dog Blue?” We discuss the book and then the kids create their own versions of Blue Dog. We also like to create Blue Dog in other colors. Their imaginations are all they need to create their own works of art.
