My students have organization issues. The materials needed to help my students with this issue. Folders are used by each student to keep all reading materials for the class in one space. They keep these materials in the classroom at all times so they do not have to worry about losing stuff at home. This can help my students become better readers when they do not have to focus on finding materials; their materials are already at school.
My students use headsets to listen, read, and record fluent reading. The headsets we have used before are broken or falling apart. The students can really use new headsets to block out noise in the classroom to really concentrate on their individual reading program. As low readers, they are already shy about reading out loud, so the headset microphones can pick up their voices without them having to be too loud. We use laptops but the mice are helpful for students who may prefer to use them over the touch pad. Keyboards will replace the laptop keyboards that are missing keys from years of use. This way all of my laptops can be fully functional for the students to work efficiently.
