Being a first time teacher I realized that students learn best when they gather around for carpet time. Carpet time is imperative in our classroom. Students enjoy sitting together as we learn the verb song or review our sounds of the day. Having a carpet will make our gathering routine structured and fun! Color and structure bring the best out of children. Lets gather around and show me criss-cross applesauce! The donations for this project will be greatly appreciated because it will help improve my classroom by providing materials that my students will use on a daily basis. Parent and teacher communication is a must to reach the child's highest potential. The colorful cardstock will be used to print and send come monthly behavior charts. Parents should know how well their child behaves in the classroom. Having teacher parent communication will motivate students to work harder in class. Having a printer in the classroom will facilitate the printing process. We will have materials ready to use for the day when the school printer is down.
