Sensory bins are ideal for infusing fun, play, and leaning in a way that is developmentally appropriate for kindergarteners. Young children love to play and explore outside. The sensory bins I am creating allow this passion to be built upon for learning. The sensory bins that I will be filling with the items from this list connect to social studies units planned in our classroom. For example, students will search through the bins for the small figurines and sort them into their roles in the community. This hands on activities allows them to review the roles of the members in our community while enjoying searching through the bins. The sensory bins are an engaging way for my kindergarteners to review and demonstrate knowledge. They will help the students enjoy learning.
