The CD player is an essential item in our classroom. The students have a daily routine for reviewing the alphabet, days of the week, months of the year, numbers and colors. The CD player we have now skips and it creates laughter and chaos when it happens. The students also listen to books on tape at the listening center, but most of the time it has to be cancelled because the player is not working. Having a functional CD player in the classroom will help the students focus and learn while having fun listening to educational songs. It will also help improve their literacy skills because they will be able to listen and follow along to audio books.
