As our society progresses to rely more on technology, our classrooms need to account for that change. I would like to utilize that technology to increase the relevancy of the curriculum, in addition to reducing the waste of paper. With these Chromebooks I will be able to provide a more technologically advanced education to our middle school students. Our students will be better prepared for college and their careers if exposed to using technology during their secondary education years. The ultimate goal is for our title one charter school to have a one to one ratio between our students and these Chromebooks. Currently, the middle school only has access to a few laptops that are shared between teachers and a couple of very small computer labs. In our current situation, teachers and students have to bounce around to access technology for their classes and for state testing. With a one to one ratio between student and Chromebook, students can participate more actively in the learning process as technology advances into schools.
